My Dad was an entrepreneur – a savvy entrepreneur! I suppose, looking back, I’ve always had that entrepreneurial spirit in me. I didn’t want “to work for the man!” I’d much rather work for myself – as Frank said it best, and “do things my way.”
Fast forward five decades and that entrepreneurial spirit is on fire. There seems to be a myth that women over 50 are headed off into the sunset, or rocking in rocking chairs rather than rocking life. What I love most about Savvi are the women. Network marketing means you have a tribe of women working alongside you – a band of Fierce sisters – cheering you on. When you work as a team, one woman’s success is a bonus to every other woman on the team. Toss competition out the window and welcome collaboration. That is the best part – well, that and the fashion is AMAZING. Ken Porter is a well connected entrepreneur. He’s attracted a couple of fabulous young designers, the lovely and lively, Jen Ashby and her partner in crime, Rachel, who have extensive fashion and design backgrounds. Some of the latest styles are the “HEYYY” Legging you see here that comes in this beautiful shade of pale pink as well as two are shades of grey, one pale grey and one a bit darker. It has a matching bra top complete with removable pads in case you need a bit more padding on the top. I love the sprinkling of a few horizontal stripes on the design. It adds a bit of whimsical style. The tights are ideal for women who want to cover their tummies. They’re high waisted and loaded with lycra to flatter their curves. The NOVA zip jacket comes in a navy and a pale mossy green. It’s fashion forward with modern mesh panels and cool, breathable, lightweight panels. It’s made of a combination of spandex and nylon along with fabulous finger holes on the sleeves. It feels like silk but moves like spandex.
The wonderful thing about Savvi is the affordability factor. I’m living in my fitness and athleisure clothes these days. I can never have enough! The price point is significantly lower than comparable brands. The flower power leggings are a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, they sold out long ago in most sizes. I was fortunate to scoop up a pair from my sweet team leader, Kellye Ryan. I’ll admit, I’d been coveting them for some time. I also grabbed a couple pairs of the Tahiti leggings before they were gone. This black pair is a true performance legging with a high waist, and the coolest perforated laser cut accents along the lower leg. It’s a legging that pairs with absolutely anything, including the Savvi riot tank that’s a must have for a new Savvi rep like yours truly!
